New Booster Prices and a Cannabis Room

Booster Prices

We have finalized the prices of the boosters for 2013. We have made an effort to make the method of determining the prices as transparent as possible. This is how they are calculated:

1-unit bosters

The price of the 1 unit booster has been set at 15 lindens. The price of each pack of 1-unit boosters is calculated by the formula (15 x number_of_units ^ 0.875).

5-unit boosters

The price of the 5 unit booster has been determined with the formula (15 x 5 ^ 0.88) = 61.82795. The price of each pack of 5-unit boosters is calculated by the formula (61.82795 x number_of_units^0.875).

10-unit boosters

The price of the 10 unit booster has been determined with the formula (15 x 10 ^ 0.88625) = 115.436. The price of each pack of 10-unit boosters is calculated by the formula (115.436 x number_of_units ^ 0.875).

All prices are then rounded to the closest whole number. Most of the prices have become higher. However, the prices of booster packs 50x5, 10x10, 20x10, 50x10 have dropped compared to their values before the 1st of January 2013.

The formulas have been chosen according to the recommendations at http://www.ehow.com/how_6516198_calculate-discount-factor.html. The coefficients used in the formulas have been also chosen to reflect the fact that a 10 unit booster is more valuable than 2 5-unit boosters and a 5-unit booster is more valuable than 5 1-unit boosters.

Cannabis room

We have moved the Cannabis plantpets and the joint paper to one of the rooms on the second floor in the PlantPets Main Store. To accommodate them there we promoted some older plantpets to seasonal and rare as follows:

• All common discocactus plantpets have been upgraded to seasonal. We may bring them back during the summer months.
• All common Candelabra Vomica plantpets have been upgraded to rare plantpets.
• All Maranta and all Bird of Paradise plantpets have been promoted to rare. We will be bringing new common Maranta and Bird of Paradise plantpets in the future.
